Inside our classroom walls

Inside our classroom walls, children discover the joy of learning each day through play, imagination, and collaboration. Inspired by Loris Malaguzzi and Howard Gardner, we believe every child is unique and learns to understand the world in their own way. Our role as teachers and parents is to create opportunities where children can ask questions, explore new ideas, and build confidence — all through the wonder of play and discovery.

4 Months - 3 Years

At this age, we follow children’s natural needs and rhythms from early on. We provide a safe, homely environment filled with love, attention, and opportunities for growth. Independence is encouraged from the very beginning through activities adapted to each child’s unique development. Small groups ensure that every child is noticed — one of Regio’s most important building blocks.

3 Years - 4 Years

Play, creativity, and safety form the core of this phase. This age is known as the “years of discovery,” where curiosity leads the learning process. Howard Gardner’s multiple intelligences and Loris Malaguzzi’s idea of the “100 languages” can be observed here daily. Children gradually learn to take on more responsibility and are encouraged to develop independence within a safe and stimulating environment.

4 Years - 5 Years

At this stage, learner-centered discovery and play are critical. Structured activities are presented in playful ways to naturally integrate learning across all subject areas. Gardner’s intelligences and Malaguzzi’s 100 languages are woven throughout the day, while humor and joy are an essential part of the classroom. Children develop not only academically, but also socially and emotionally, through playful learning experiences that nurture their natural curiosity.

5 Years - 6 Years

Emotional intelligence is central to this class. We create a warm, home-like atmosphere where love, acceptance, and togetherness are experienced — a true “one big happy family.” At this stage, children are invited into deeper conversations, to share their interests, and to explore new concepts together. Creativity, collaboration, and meaningful play form the foundation of the program. Grade R is a year of growth, self-confidence, and preparation for the next big step in learning.
